Description

This vintage Spode lead crystal figurine turtle/mole paperweight is a stunning piece of art glass that will add a touch of elegance to any collection. Handmade in England during the1970's as part of their lead crystal animal collection, this figurine is figural in style and measures 1 1/8" high x 1 3/4" wide x 3" long. The piece weighs 5.4 ounces and is a perfect size for display on a shelf, in a window or as a decorative piece on a desk. The intricate details of this figurine make it a unique and original piece. The turtle's shell or back has soft angled cuts that reflect the light into a prism of colors. The head, tail and feet have soft rounded edges. The entire piece has been fire polished to a liquid-look finish. It is acid etched signed on the bottom with the Spode name and the artist's initials, "HW". This Spode figurine is perfect for collectors of art glass, vintage Spode pieces or turtle lovers alike. The piece has no chips, cracks, or flea bites and only some light rub marks on the bottom from shelf wear.
