This auction is for four (4) issues of the Enigma maxi-series from DC Comics. This was the second title published under the new Vertigo Imprint of DC that told stories with more adult themes like Sandman, Hellblazer, Swamp Thing and others. This eight (8) issue maxi-series is written by Peter Milligan with art by Duncan Fegredo with metallic color covers and printed in the Deluxe format with cardstock covers. It follows Michael Smith, a fan of the Enigma comic book that ends up searching out the real Enigma being. Unfortunately, once he finds Enigma, he is taken on a terrifying and exhilarating journey of self-discovery that may or may not end with his own death. This title also introduced Enigma as a homosexual character that hooked up with Michael and was one of the first to deal with LGBT characters in mainstream comics.
